Our program offers comprehensive support, including pre-arrival assistance, program coordination, and post-program follow-up. Our team aim to provide a seamless and enriching experience for both host organization and volunteers.

To participate in our program a registration fee of €59 is required.

What the registration fee covers:

Program consultation/personal assessment with our program specialist/thesis/final report consultation for academic credits (if required) and/or grants/funding assistance.
Mediation to the most suitable current openings/programs
Access to connect with Bali Internships partner organizations/non profits
Detailed information about the program host/organization profile, volunteer interview session

This comprehensive final program placement fee is payable after your interview and once you have received confirmation of your program.

The program fee includes full support during the preparation phase prior to your arrival as well as ongoing assistance throughout your stay in Bali. It ensures flexibility and peace of mind by covering both your program participation and accommodation for the confirmed duration. Should you choose to extend your stay, an additional participation fee starting from €50 per week will apply. This extension fee also includes continued program services, coordination, and accommodation.

PROGRAM FEE WITH MEALS

Optional Daily Meal at €100/month is avaiable for volunteers who wish to have meals conveniently arranged, we offer a simple and balanced Indonesian meal plan at €5 per day (Monday to Friday).

Each day includes:

Morning bites: a light start with seasonal tropical fruits, coffee or tea.
Lunch box: a wholesome Indonesian meal, typically rice or noodles served with vegetables and a protein (chicken, beef, tofu, tempeh, or fish).
Dinner box: a comforting local dish prepared in the same style, simple, fresh, and home-cooked.

All meals are prepared with local ingredients and reflect everyday Indonesian home cooking flavorful yet modest, the kind of dishes our team members enjoy daily. Weekend meals are not included, giving participants the chance to explore local cafés and warungs in their free time.

Dietary & Health Notes:
Special dietary requirements, allergies, or health-related meal preferences (such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or specific medical diets) can be arranged upon request and may incur an additional cost, depending on availability and ingredient needs.

Why should I pay for participating?

It is critical that you understand the concept of traveling abroad to volunteer independently or to get mediation with reliable thorough information on the organization you will support when you arrive in Bali. With over a decade of work and commitment to support local organizations in every project they have, our mediation throughout the year of connecting young and senior volunteers from around the world to Bali's local community projects such as schools, non profits, conservation centers has been our strongest suit. Our program fee logic is to provide responsible and quality volunteer programs

Before deciding, be aware of the pro's and con's of organizing a volunteer trip to Bali on your own or to get wholesome assistance from organizations like ours. We are a team of professional young people, who have committed ourselves to providing full-time support for volunteers, who want to make sure that their support is sustainable and valuable, while exploring Bali with like-minded people.

How can I get funding for my voluntary work program in Bali?

We have assisted hundreds of international students and graduates finding their funded internships and voluntary work throughout the years. Our team will provide guidance on identifying suitable scholarships and grants, preparing application materials, and navigating the application process. Read more about finding funding here.

Can I stay longer than 4 weeks?

Sure! Some programs even have a minimum duration of 8 weeks.

All programs are available up to a duration of 24 weeks (6 months)! After the first 4 weeks, an additional fee of starting from 50-80 Euro applies per week, which includes our service and your accommodation fees are varied based on the program’s location.

What does visa assistance mean?

Visa assistance means that we will mediate you to provide you assistance, information and guidance during your visa application. Visa costs are not included in our service fee and need to be settled directly to your visa inviter as the current visa applications due to the global pandemic are all done online and directly to the Immigration Official site and visits to the embassy of Indonesia have been eliminated entirely. During your program in Bali, our team will assist you to arrange your visa extension after your first 60 days in Bali. This includes providing you with necessary contacts from visa agents and extension documents. The extension fees are not included in our service fee and need to be settled at the immigration office in Bali directly.

Will I still get support from Bali Internships throughout my program?

Yes, definitely! Although you will have a volunteer mentor, we will always be there to support you. We will schedule regular visits to ensure delivering a positive experience and the sustainability of your program commitment. We will assist you with your monthly visa extension, inform you about upcoming events and student gatherings and you can always reach us over our number!

How much should I spend in a month living in Bali?

Living costs in Bali vary depending on accommodation type, dining preferences, and transportation methods. Budget-friendly options like guesthouses and homestays can cost around $520-1,250 per month (Around 466 -1,120 Euro), while mid-range and high-end accommodations range from $770-1,770 and $1,770+ respectively (around 690 - 1,585+ Euro). Food costs are relatively low, with local meals starting at $1-2 (around 1-1,80 Euro). Transportation expenses can be minimized by renting a scooter or using Gojek rides. I am already in Bali, can I participate?

Sure! If you are already in Bali and would like to take part in Bali Internships social/voluntary work program you can consult our program coordinator regarding the eligible visa (visa for volunteering) if you are a non KTP holder Indonesian. Write to us here.

Can I participate as a part time volunteer?

To maximize your impact and achieve meaningful personal and professional growth, we strongly encourage our volunteers to commit to full-time participation. By having a full commitment and dedication, volunteers can foster deeper connections with our community, gain valuable knowledge, and contribute significantly to the success of your initiatives. This commitment not only benefits the community but also provides a more fulfilling and rewarding experience for our volunteers.

How is the refund policy in case of travel ban due to the pandemic?

Due to circumstances changes of travel restrictions, you will have the following options:

Postpone your participation until the Indonesian border is open for international visitors (with visa visitor) and you will arrive to start your internship as planned (with a new internship starting date)
Postpone your internship to a completely new term and we will hold your internship program until the agreed and confirmed new term advised by you and acknowledged by Bali Internships and internship host company/program

Please note that the refund exceptions as stated above only apply in case traveling is made impossible by higher authorities. In other cases, such as sickness or withdrawal due to personal reasons, doubts, fear, etc. our usual terms and conditions apply.
